The excitement is building as the Alpha Omega Council gears up for its highly anticipated Annual Honors Gala, happening Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the elegant InterContinental Boston. This year’s celebration promises to be an unforgettable evening honoring the enduring legacy of Harry Agganis – the Golden Greek whose story continues to inspire generations.

The gala will honor four remarkable award recipients who embody excellence, leadership, and community spirit:
Mike Agganis – Lifetime Achievement Award
Erica Kontos – Emerging Leader Award
Boston Athletic Association – Trustees’ Award
Boston Red Sox – Philhellene Award
Guiding guests through the night’s festivities will be the dynamic Maria Stephanos, beloved anchor from WCVB Channel 5, bringing her trademark warmth and energy to the stage.
Guests will also experience a special tribute exhibit to Harry Agganis, featuring a magnificent life-size wooden statue sculpted by the acclaimed Armand LaMontagne – a breathtaking homage to one of New England’s most cherished athletes.

Adding to the distinguished guest list are retired three Star Lt. General Mark Brilakis, along with entrepreneur and world-renowned scientist Stuart Schreiber, co-founder of many top-notch tech firms, including VERTEX and Ariad.
