2026 Greek Heritage Night

June 2, 2026 @ 6:45PM

PURCHASE TICKETS HERE

The Alpha Omega Council, a Greek American organization dedicated to cultivating the ideals of Hellenism through philanthropy and fellowship, will host its annual Greek Heritage Night with the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, at Fenway Park, as the Red Sox take on the Baltimore Orioles.

This year’s event holds special significance as it coincides with the golden 50th Anniversary of the Alpha Omega Council, marking five decades of service, cultural celebration, and community impact throughout New England.

Now in its 9th year sponsored by the Alpha Omega Council, Greek Heritage Night has become a beloved tradition, drawing thousands of attendees annually in celebration of Greek culture, heritage, and community spirit, while raising funds for charitable initiatives supported by the Council, such as the Metropolis of Boston Camp.

During on-field presentations, the 2026 Greek Heritage Night will honor Adam Zervos, Boston-area author of Baseball’s Golden Greeks, recognized for his work highlighting Greek professional baseball players from 1934–1974, as well as The Hellenic Women’s Benevolent Association, who will receive the “Hats Off to Heroes” honor in recognition for its longstanding commitment to philanthropy and community service.

The festive evening will feature immense Hellenic pride, the singing of the National Anthem, the throwing of the first pitch and the declaration of ‘Play Ball!’ by a Greek peer, and traditional Greek dance performances. An official pregame will take place in the areas behind the bleachers and on the Sam Adams Deck, where guests can experience a variety of Greek food options and beverages available for purchase, such as chicken souvlaki, lamb gyro, honey baked feta and baklava, which will also be available in other various areas of the stadium.

Ticket packages are available exclusively through this link: https://www.mlb.com/redsox/tickets/promotions/cultural-and-identity-celebrations/greek-american

  • Regular Tickets include a limited-time Greek Red Sox soccer-style jersey and standard ballpark entry beginning one hour prior to game time beginning at 5:45 PM

  • VIP Tickets include a limited-time Greek Red Sox soccer-style jersey and limited-time Greek Red Sox scarf, along with access to all pregame events  beginning at 4:45 PM

  • Ticket Packages are also available for groups of 15 or more through the Red Sox Ticket Office at ticketoffice@redsox.com

“Greek Heritage Night continues to be a cornerstone event for the Alpha Omega Council,” said Chairperson John Mokas. “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, this evening represents not only our shared heritage, but also the strength and unity of our community. We are proud to bring people together at one of baseball’s most iconic venues while supporting meaningful causes.”

Greek Heritage Night with the Boston Red Sox promises an unforgettable evening at Fenway Park, blending America’s pastime with the rich traditions of Hellenism. Greek Heritage Night follows the Alpha Omega Council’s recent Boston Marathon Wreath Ceremony (April 16), and precedes Alpha Omega Council’s Annual Honors Gala (October 2), as well as the Konstantinos Argiros Concert at Agganis Arena (October 3), for which the Alpha Omega Council will serve as the local host in partnership with promoter Dream Hospitality Group.

The Alpha Omega Council Greek Heritage Night’s planning committee consists of Chairperson Chair John Mokas, Co-Chair Chuck Lavrentios, Alpha Omega Council President Harry Vlachos, as well as Paul Tsitsopoulos, Costa Sideridis, Teddy Demetriades, Nick Rizos, Fotios Stamos George Karalis, Tom Gatzunis, John Pappas, and George Antonopoulos.

Greek Independence Day Parade - Boston

Federation of Hellenic-America Societies of New England

GREEK INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE

SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 2026

The Annual Greek Independence Day Parade of Boston will return on Sunday, April 26th, which will welcome nearly 100 registered Hellenic groups marching along Boston’s Boylston Street in commemoration of Greece’s independence from Ottoman Rule, which began on March 25, 1821.

Celebrating its pearl anniversary, this milestone year will honor three decades of preserving and promoting Hellenic heritage in Boston. Reflecting both the historic legacy and continued relevance of Greece’s fight for freedom, this year’s official theme will be “From 1821 to Today: Freedom, Dignity and the Human Spirit.”

As a centerpiece of this 30th anniversary, the elite Presidential Guard of Greece – known as the Evzones – will travel to Boston to participate in the parade, marking their first official appearance in the city in 25 years. Their return represents a deeply symbolic moment, honoring the enduring bond between Greece and the Greek-American community of New England. Known for their historic foustanella uniforms and precision ceremonial duties at Greece’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Athens, the Evzones are among the most recognizable and revered symbols of Greek national pride.

The parade will once again be presented by the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of New England (FHASNE), supported by the City of Bostonand in cooperation with The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston and The Consulate General of Greece in Boston.

The parade will commence at 1PM at the intersection of Boylston Street and Exeter Street in front of The Lenox Hotel with a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by parade dignitaries, including FHASNE President Eleni Vidalis, Grand and Honorary Grand Marshals, and elected officials. Thus far, Grand Marshals will include Michelle Wu, Mayor of Boston; Ioannis Loverdos, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece; and Dionyssios Kodellas, President at Special Olympics Hellas and Former Ambassador of Greece. Thus far, Honorary Grand Marshals will include George Patoulis, President of the Athens Medical Association and Former Governor of Athens; David Paleologos, Director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center; Dr. Basil Darras, Associate Neurologist-in-Chief and Chief of the Division of Clinical Neurology at Boston Children's Hospital; and Costa Sideridis, President & CEO of Ferro-Ceramic Grinding Inc. and Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America. The visiting Presidential Guard of Greece (Evzones) will serve as featured participants, marching in full ceremonial uniform. They will be followed by Greek cultural organizations, churches, student groups, and community organizations from throughout New England.

At Boylston and Charles Streets, parade participants will be welcomed by the official review stand, where announcers will recognize dignitaries and participants.
