A Boston Greek-American holiday tradition celebrates a major milestone this November.
The Hellenic Women’s Club (EOK) will celebrate its 90th anniversary at the 2026 Mistletoe Ball, bringing together generations of the Greek-American community for an evening of philanthropy, music, culture, and celebration at the historic Fairmont Copley Plaza.
Founded in Boston in 1936 by seven women of Greek descent, the Hellenic Women’s Club has spent nine decades supporting charitable causes, scholarships, medical research, and the preservation of Hellenic heritage. The Mistletoe Ball has been part of that legacy since 1946 and remains one of the organization’s signature annual fundraisers.
The 2026 Celebration
This year’s milestone Mistletoe Ball will honor His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios for his longstanding leadership and service to the Greek Orthodox community.
The evening will also feature live entertainment by acclaimed Greek singer Glykeria, joined by special guest Kostas Ageris, for a special night of Greek music celebrating 90 years of EOK.
Nine Decades of Giving Back
Beyond the celebration, the Mistletoe Ball supports the Hellenic Women’s Club’s longstanding philanthropic mission.
Through initiatives including the EOK Scholarship Fund and Demetra Fund for Breast Cancer Research and Patient Assistance, the organization has supported generations of students, families, medical research, cultural institutions, and community organizations. In the past decade alone, the Club has raised more than $2 million for charitable causes.
Scholarship recipients are also recognized annually at the Mistletoe Ball, continuing the organization’s commitment to supporting the next generation of Greek-American women.
