THE APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Step 1: Submit Your Application Form

    Set your alarms because! Applications officially open March 8.

  • Step 2: Call with the Team

    Once your application is received, a member of our Greekend team will reach out to schedule a short intro call — a chance for us to get to know you, walk you through the experience, and answer any questions.

    Within 24 hours of your call, you’ll receive your application decision and next steps so you can get to booking your flight. If accepted, your summer story officially begins.

  • Step 3: Confirm your Spot

    Within 5 days of receiving your acceptance, you will be asked to confirm your spot verbally via email. Once confirmed, a 10% nonrefundable deposit is required to secure your place in the parea.

  • PACKAGE COST & DETAILS

    The cost of the TheGreekend Island Tour 2026 includes:

    All accommodations throughout the trip at highly rated boutique and luxury hotels

    All ferry transportation between islands and return to Athens via premium ferry partners

    All group shuttles and private transfers for scheduled activities, ports, and hotels

    All pre-booked cultural, social, and entertainment experiences curated by TheGreekend & Greece Island tours

    Select group meals and hosted dining experiences throughout the itinerary

    Dedicated on-site hosts and TheGreekend coordination team for the duration of the trip

    Final pricing will be released prior to the application launch.

  • APPLICATION CRITERIA

    In order to be eligible to apply for TheGreekend Island Tour 2026, applicants must:

    Be of Hellenic origin (Greek or Cypriot descent)

    Be between ages 21–35 in the year 2026

    Be actively involved in their local Hellenic community or seeking to expand their global Hellenic network

    Be aligned with TheGreekend community values of culture, connection, and elevated social travel

FAQs

  • The program includes a variety of activities that will give you the opportunity to experience the best of each island and what they have to offer. The package fee includes all accommodation throughout the tour, all activities listed on the itinerary (unless specified as an exception), all transport to and from the islands (ferries) as well as most shuttles/buses on the islands and certain meals throughout.

  • We recommend a minimum of €50 daily spending money to cover meals and general needs. If you are looking to opt in for additional activities and excursions as well as enjoy the nightlife of the islands, you will likely need more and this is dependent on you and how much you like to party and do extra activities!

    Greece operates on the Euro, and while most island venues accept cards, we suggest keeping some cash on hand for cafés, beach bars, taxis, and spontaneous gyro runs with your parea.

  • All accommodations offer a mix of double, triple, and maybe even quadruple room layouts. You’ll be thoughtfully matched to create the best possible vibes and experience. Sharing accommodations is part of the magic — it’s how strangers become friends, and friends become parea. This is the ultimate way to connect, bond, and truly live the Greekend lifestyle from the inside out.

  • Yes — absolutely. While the program includes a curated schedule of exclusive group experiences, cultural moments, and hosted events, ample free time is intentionally built into the itinerary.

    This allows you to:

    • Explore each island at your own pace

    • Relax at beach clubs and cafés

    • Book personal excursions, spa days, or boat rentals

    • Wander, shop, swim, nap, and live your Mamma Mia life freely

  • The program does not include most meals throughout the itinerary, drinks and expenses on a night out. This includes club entrances, transport to and from the nightclub (if required), beach entrance fees or beach chairs. Activities outside of the itinerary or opt-in activities that have a separate cost associated.

  • No. You will need to arrange to get yourself to Athens from home and return flights from Athens post-trip. We are happy to assist with any travel arrangements and recommend airlines, itineraries and more.

  • This program is exclusively designed for young adults of Hellenic descent, ages 21–35. This experience goes beyond travel. It is intentionally curated to connect the global Greek diaspora through culture, identity, and meaningful relationships — preserving what makes our heritage so special.

    By gathering Hellenes from around the world, we create an environment where traditions are shared, friendships are formed, and a global Greek community is strengthened — all while experiencing Greece the way it’s meant to be experienced.

  • No. While TheGreekend is proudly based in the United States, TheGreekend Island Tour is an international program welcoming applicants from Canada, South Africa, Australia, Europe, and beyond.
